Mailing Lists
DDLINUX
- All interested in speech recognition software under
Linux are invited to join this new mailing list. The emphasis is on
(though discussion is not limited to) finding a means of porting
preexisting applications (especially DragonDictate-style ones, or
possibly NaturallySpeaking-style) to Linux, rather than developing one
from scratch. Very light traffic
MEDSPEECH
- The internet mailing list for medical speech
recognition. We now have well over 100 members with physicians of many
specialties, software developers and computer consultants represented.
Light traffic.
VOICE-RECOGNITION-DISPATCH
(VR-DISPATCH)
- Targeted announcement lists. VR-Dispatch
is a dispatching tool that sends out updates for different areas of
speech technology. Very light, average of one email per month giving you
updates on the industry. Lists include General end users, Developers,
Medical, Legal and other lists.
VOICEGROUP
- A new mailing list with several dozen users and
vendors giving advice and discussing all aspects of speech recognition
hardware and software including troubleshooting, best hardware and
compatibility. Beginning to advanced users.
- Most mailing lists have commands that allow users to
subscribe, unsubscribe, view archives, get digest modes, etc..
VOICEGROUP
requires that you go to the home page for this. This is mainly to
prevent users from being spammed while giving total control of your
subscription. Very nice list. You can go to the
VOICEGROUP
home page by clicking on
