comp.speech.research was created to on June 9, 1998 to discuss issues relating to the research & development speech recognition technology. comp.speech was the original list which has been running 5 years.

The comp.speech website and official FAQ and is largely focused on research & development issues.

To subscribe click news:comp.speech.research. This should bring up the newsgroup (if your ISP supports it) and you should have a tool to subscribe to the group. MS Internet Explorer and Netscape both have integrated newsreaders. (this group is new and may not have resolved to all ISPs yet)
